A four-day introductory training course on integrated wetland

management will be held. The course will include lectures, case

studies, discussion group sessions and field visits. The template for

the course will be the Ramsar Convention’s New Guidelines for

Management Planning for Ramsar sites and other wetlands. Outputs

will include draft management plan Goal and objectives, as well as a

list of key training needs. Participants (max. 40) will be experts from

provincial agencies for environment, water, agriculture, tourism, plus

NGOs and University experts. The course will be run by national and

international consultants, supported by project staff.
